PEO Volunteer

As the elected PEO Vice President, Darla contributed to the Executive Committee‘s role in stewarding the governance roadmap (through discussions at the Council table through the approval of the timed workplan) and served on the PEO-OSPE Joint Relations Committee (JRC).

Darla Campbell was appointed to PEO’s Government Liaison Committee (GLC) when it was first established in 2011, in the position of “active in a riding association” where she gained experience working with GLC Chair, Barry Steinberg.

Chair, Government Liaison Committee (2014-2017)

In 2014 she was elected Chair of GLC by the committee and was asked to continue to serve as chair for one more year to see through the implementation of the recommendations from the audit report on the Government Liaison Program.

Darla co-chaired the first conference that was hosted by the GLC in September 2011 with the theme “Building Momentum”.  The organizing committee worked hard over the summer (the committee having been appointed in the spring) to deliver a top notch government relations conference.

On October 26, 2016, the GLC co-hosted a joint government relations conference with OSPE that was well received by both PEO and OSPE attendees.
